The year 2000 is coming! Are you ready for this huge event? Here's what some other NALGENE Explorer readers think about Y2K...

Morris Tattlebum, Rochester, NY
Chronically underemployed Morris Tattlebum once worked in an orange juice factory for two days. "They canned me because I couldn't concentrate," the long-time NALGENE Explorer reader reports. Well, no more worries for Morris: Hollywood is beating a path to his door since he claimed he caught the Y2K Bug in a NALGENE One-Gallon Square Bottle! "It was chewing on my modem cable," he recalls, "so I smeared some grape jelly on a hard disk and lured it in." A film deal is in the works.

Bob Smith, Falls Church, VA "Personally, I can't wait for this Y2K computer failure to send us back in time to the year 1900. Think about it: wheat at 70 cents a bushel. Eggs, twelve cents a dozen. Coffee, eleven cents a pound. I could eat five meals a day for a dollar. I'll go to the grocer's and fill my NALGENE Sports Bottle with fresh milk for a few pennies!"

Shirley Youjoust, Lincroft, NJ
Shirley has already made a cool quarter million consulting for panicky companies. "What will I be doing on January 1, 2000? Counting all the money I made in '99 as a Y2K consultant!" Shirley's hedging her bets, though: she has a basement stocked with over three thousand NALGENE All-Terrain Bottles. "They'll be the new currency of the post-Y2K world," this NALGENE fan insists.

Elsie Thiel, Mountain View, California
"I knew these new-fangled computerometer machines wouldn't catch on," says 120-year old Elsie. "The Year 2000 crisis will be their last hurrah, then we can go back to the abacus." The feisty telegraph operator also has some choice words for automobiles: "Who ever heard of a horseless carriage? The whole idea of an internal combustion engine makes me nervous." In her spare time Elsie hikes in nearby Shoreline Park with her NALGENE Cantene.

There you have it: four faithful NALGENE Explorer readers with different reactions to Y2K. Only time will tell who's right, and who's just plain nuts. [an error occurred while processing this directive] [an error occurred while processing this directive]
